APPS: Update an App on Google Play

Sign in to the Google Play Console

To update the .AAB of your Application on Google Play, first you need to access the Google Play console with the Developer account where it is currently Published:

Once you log in, go to the section All applications, locate the App you need to update in Google Play:

You can use the search engine to locate it if you have many Apps in the list.

Production

After clicking on the App you want to update, go to the section Production and press the button Create version:

Now press the Upload button and locate the .AAB file that we have sent you in your republication request:



Version details

Now scroll down to Version Details and fill in the field Release Notes (Version name will be completed automatically) indicating the reason for updating the App. When you finish press the button Keep and Check version:

Be careful of do not delete the language tags (e.g. and )

Errors, warnings and messages

With the revised version you will access the screen Revision.

 Warnings: These yellow warnings do not affect your App, ignore them and continue pressing Start release to Production:


Advertising ID Error

If you get an Error saying you need to update your advertising ID declaration, follow these steps:

1. When you upload the AAB file and receive this error, click on "Update declaration":


2. After accessing you will see a form, in which you must indicate "Yes" and for "Analysis":



3. Save and continue with the process.

✔️ Ready! Your App is already in the updating process, once reviewed and approved by Google it will be available for download on Google Play.

🕑 Approval time: Normally the process does not take 24-48 hours, depending on Google's work queues it could take days. Although we would like to help you, at Scoreapps we cannot know how long it may be.

You can check the status of your publication in the Production section of your App in the Google Play Console:

If your App has already been approved for update, you just have to check if it has been automatically downloaded to your Android device or if you have to Access the Google Play App Store to download the update.
