Enter theWordPress Desktopwith your Administrator account.
Go to the side menu →Users → Add new.
Fill in the fields:
Username(mandatory).
Email(mandatory).
Name/Surname(optional).
Password(you can generate it automatically.)
Check the boxSend notification to the user(if you want an email to arrive with the login details.)
InProfileselectthe desired level of access for that new user:
- Minimum access.
- You can log in, view your profile and change your password.
- You cannot create or edit content.
( ( (Useful for users who only need to register (e.g. customers who comment on posts).
- You can write and edit your own entries (posts).
- You cannot publish them (you must be reviewed by an Editor or Administrator).
- You cannot upload files (images, documents).
( ( (Ideal for guest authors).
- You can write, edit, publish and delete your own entries.
- - -You can upload media files.
-You cannot touch entries from other authors or change settings.
- Full control over entries, pages and comments (of all users).
- You can approve, edit or delete third-party content.
- It does not have access to general settings, plugins, themes or users.
- Full control over the site.
- You can install plugins, change themes, manage users and all content.
🔹Roles added by WooCommerce
- Similar to the Subscriber, but it can also:- Check orders.- Download digital products.- Edit your account data.- You may not create or edit content from the site.
- It has all the capabilities of an Editor, plus:- Manage WooCommerce products, orders, coupons and adjustments.- View sales reports.- You cannot change themes, plugins or manage other users (that just the Administrator).
