How to Connect an AI Agent to Shopify or WooCommerce
What this function does
The option Shopping Assistant Connect your AI agent to a Shopify or WooCommerce store so it can respond using real information from your eCommerce.
This allows you to provide more useful answers about products, catalog and commercial context without relying only on manual instructions.
When to use this feature
- When your agent goes to answer questions about products or purchases.
- When you want to connect the agent with an already operational Shopify or WooCommerce store.
- When you need the agent to work with real store data.
Before starting
Before enabling this feature, prepare your platform credentials:
- Shopify: your domain
example.myshopify.comand you Shopify Access Token. - WooCommerce: the domain of your store, the Consumer Key and the Consumer Secret.
How to activate the integration with Shopify or WooCommerce
- Enter AI.
- Open AI Agents.
- Create a new agent or edit an existing one.
- in the step Set up, activate the switch Shopping Assistant.
- In Shop Source, choose Shopify either WooCommerce.
- Fill in the fields that correspond to your platform.
If your store is Shopify
- In Shop Source, select Shopify.
- In Shopify Domain, enter the Shopify domain in the format
example.myshopify.com. - In Shopify Access Token, paste your store access token.
If your store is WooCommerce
For WooCommerce you need to first generate the API keys that you will then paste into Scoreapps.
- In your WordPress, go to WooCommerce > Settings.
- Open the tab Advanced.
- Enter REST API either REST API Keys, depending on your version.
- Click Add key either Create an API key.
- Write a recognizable description for that key.
- Under permissions, select Read/Write.
- Save the key.
- WooCommerce will generate a Consumer Key and one Consumer Secret.
- Copy both and save them in a safe place before exiting the screen.
- Go back to Scoreapps.
- In Shop Source, select WooCommerce.
- Enter WooCommerce Domain, WooCommerce Consumer Key and WooCommerce Consumer Secret.
Expected result
When finished, the agent will be ready to use the connection with your store within the agent settings.
If you have entered the data correctly, you can continue with the rest of the configuration and then test the agent's behavior with real questions.
Common mistakes
- Misusing Shopify domain: must be formatted
myshopify.com. - Enter an incomplete URL in WooCommerce: Check that the domain is correct.
- Do not copy the Consumer Key and Consumer Secret when generating them: some installations do not show them again later.
- Create the key with insufficient permissions: use Read/Write if your flow requires it.
- Activate Shopping Assistant but do not complete the fields: The integration will not be properly configured.
Final recommendation
After saving your settings, test the agent with real product or store questions to verify that the integration behaves as you expect.
