The Divi Design Block lets you upload Divi designs directly into the Gutenberg editor.


The Divi Design Block

The Divi design block is a Gutenberg block that allows you to insert or create Divi designs from scratch directly into the Gutenberg editor. This block can be used in combination with other Gutenberg blocks to build large and complex designs using the power of both editors.

Before you start, you need to make sure Gutenberg is not disabled in your WordPress installation. If you have the Classic Editor plugin enabled, turn it off and also go to Divi > Theme Options > Builder > Advanced and make sure the optionEnable classic editoris disabled.

To add a Divi design block, simply open an existing page with Gutenberg or create a new one and, within the Gutenberg editor, use the buttonAdd blockand select the Divi design block.

Alternatively, you can also use the Divi Design Quick Access Button in the editor.

When the Divi design block is inserted, you will be presented with two options:

  • Create new design
    This will open a pop-up window with the Divi Builder and allow you to create a design from scratch.

  • Upload from the library
    This will open the Divi Library modal and allow you to upload a Divi design directly.

Once the Divi design block has been added, you can edit its content by selecting the block and clicking the buttonEdit designwhich will open a pop-up window with the Divi Builder.
